The Wedding Collection!

Aaaannndddd!! Here it is! The first ever MaeMae Wedding Collection!

Since our passion lies in creating customized designs that accurately reflect the mood of a couple and their wedding, the MaeMae Paperie Wedding Collection was purposefully designed to make each piece feel custom and unique. Rather than stick your names and dates into a template, our mission is to recreate and convey your tapestry of stories and dreams onto paper through the means of thoughtful, imaginative, and vibrant stationery. Each design is carefully typeset and customized, so that your wedding suite is as unique as you. Feel free to mix-and-match illustrations, colors, and layouts so that our story becomes yours.

It is available in stores nationwide and of course you can order from MaeMae directly. We will be featuring all the wonderful stationery boutiques carrying our line in the coming weeks.

We are also having a sweet little giveaway for 50 customized notecards* (for anyone! you don't have to be wearing a fatty diamond) this week to celebrate! The Trunk Show

Saturday was one of my biggest dreams - EVER - realized. Audrey - thank you so much for taking the time to meet with me three years ago and for encouraging me since then to push my craft, inspiring me to make a wedding collection, and for hosting such a fabulous party for MaeMae. This is huge. Thank you Elizabeth, Courtney, and Kay for making the day so smooth and to Maureen for stopping in to see it too :)

Thank you so much to everyone who came out (even during the rain!) and for all my friends and family who supported me from afar with letters, emails, texts, and tweeets :) My supportive family and Whit came all the way from Arizona (and Colson from Moreno Valley) just for the day and I know many of you drove long distances throughout Southern California to make it. I so appreciate it and will never forget the day. Thank you to Summer for making everything gorgeous and tasty and to Lindsay for assisting with all that beautification. Thank you to my assistant, Caitlin, for pulling such long hours with me the past few weeks! Also - anyone in the San Diego area that is looking for a designer email Caitlin! She will be moving there soon! Thank you my sweet, Jae, for hauling box after box and for forcing me to eat that bagel egg sandwich and OJ (sorry Whit for spilling it on you.. oppsie!) while we were all just throwing stationery, flowers, and punch into the air hoping it would all land and the store would look perfect. Thank you also for napping curled up like a little baby in the corner of our couch because stationery is literally covering every inch of half our home. You know I can never do anything without you.

Time to cook up some more dreams now... Oh and find a new home, pack, and move.

MaeMae Window at Urbanic

A total dream come true. My own window display at Urbanic! The design and execusion is thanks to my dear friend Ruthi from Camp. She is a straight up genius. A huge huge thanks to Melody at Sweet and Saucy Supply for these gorgeous cake stands. You can rent them here. What a brill idea! The daytime photos were taken by the talented Maureen who works at Urbanic and the nightime photos are by Miss Ru. The window will be up until the trunk show this weekend!!

ALSO! stay tuned for a big announcment TOMORROW!! BUCKLE UP! PS it has nothing to do with babies. or the trunk show. or the collection. But it's just as exciting (probably more...) than all those things. It kind of has to do with snowmen.

Meet the MaeMae Characters

If you have been following my blog for a while you will remember many of my character inspiration boards (Quimby, Winston, Dakota, Roxy, Avery, McAllister, Artemis, Andy) that I have created as I dreamed up this new collection. Many of the characters I shared with you on here radically changed in the process, some didn't make the cut, and some new friends snuck in as well. A huge part of my design process is creating a character to base the mood of the suite around. It adds more richness and fuels my imagination to create all the design "ingredients" you see above. So these nine boards are your sneak peek into the collection (launching next week!!!) and are pages out of the wedding album that will be in stores nationwide. These pages showcase the fonts, colors, illustrations, patterns, and return address options. The entire collection was designed so that more customization can occur with great ease. Creating custom wedding stationery is my favorite part of my job and I wanted to keep that aspect in the collection. Want to see the album? Come to Urbanic next Saturday!

MaeMae Trunk Show at Urbanic

Dear discerning stationery enthusiast,

I am writing to inform you that MaeMae Paperie’s Wedding Collection has finally arrived! (insert visions of me jumping up and down and waving sparklers in the air) You’re invited to become acquainted with our paper friends at our unveiling. We’ll sip mimosas, play with our stamp collection, and, of course, view the entire MaeMae collection. Join us on Saturday, March 17 from 11 AM - 4 PM for a trunk show at Urbanic Paper Boutique, 1644 Abbot Kinney Blvd. Venice, CA 90291.
